About the Livecast

The Livecast format

From the earliest numbered episodes through later recipe-titled shows, The Sam Livecast mixed casual kitchen demos with talk-show energy. Fans could tune in live several nights a week or catch recordings afterward. Distribution mattered: the team published multiple iTunes feeds so viewers could subscribe in HD for the living room, SD for mobile, or MP3 when they only wanted audio on a commute. YouTube carried the same spirit for people who preferred streaming without downloading files.

Participation was part of the brand. Listeners asked cooking questions, suggested fried-fair curiosities, sent Skype call-ins, and followed along on Facebook and Twitter. Show notes on episode pages preserved the jokes, ingredient riffs, and “tune in tomorrow” reminders that made each broadcast feel like a standing appointment with friends in the kitchen.

This restored site keeps those episode pages, recipe roundups, crew information, and contact paths together so the archive remains browsable. Legal pages, cookie choices, and ads.txt support a modern publishing footprint while the heart of the Site stays what it always was: approachable cooking entertainment from Sam the Cooking Guy and the Livecast crew.

What you will find here

Across hundreds of restored livecast pages you will find easy weeknight dishes—rice bowls, pastas, sandwiches, grilled favorites—alongside cocktails, banter with co-hosts and guests, and the same accessible approach Sam described for his television cooking: everyday ingredients, plain language, and food that is big in taste without a chef kitchen. Episodes were offered as video and audio so busy fans could watch on YouTube or listen on the go via iTunes MP3, HD, and SD feeds.

Whether you are catching Asian Beef Rice Bowl show notes or older numbered episodes from the early Blubrry days, this archive keeps the show’s personality intact: informal, funny, and focused on cooking you can actually do at home.

The Sam Livecast is a cross between a radio talk show and a TV cooking show…if they were politically incorrect and irreverent.
