Sam’s Mexican Caesar Salad is one of those things you just gotta make to believe how good it is. The secret is in the dressing. It’s not a traditional Caesar and it uses a surprise ingredient, but it is every bit as good. Also, we go through some of Sam and Steve’s favorite way of sidestepping some calories while snacking and drinking.
It’s the Year of the Dragon everyone! And to celebrate, Sam whips up a delicious Asian-inspired seared scallop. Also, be sure to take out your notepads, because we talk with nutrition guru Alyse Levine as she debunks some diet myths and gives tips on healthy eating.
Today we make an amazingly simple, quick, and deliciously hearty shrimp and grits. It’s definitely one of those go-to dishes when the weather outside is a little blah and you need a warm and fiery dish to make you feel better. On today’s show we make a Mediterranean Chicken Wrap that will blow your mind right in front of your face. It’s in honor of a little weight watching on our part (and Paula Deen’s serious failure to contribute anything to the society’s medical issues) to make a healthy dinner that does not skimp on flavor one bit. Imagine lean, well-seasoned seared chicken breast rolled into a wrap with a light green salad dressed with a red wine vinaigrette and a sprinkle of tangy feta cheese. Wait, stop imagining and watch the show because it looks as good as it tastes too.
Stirfry is one of those amazing things that everyone should be doing. It requires a cheap wok, a good amount of heat, and whatever veggies you want to throw in there. Pair it with an efficient rice cooker and you have dinner that is simple and healthy. Be sure to tune in to hear about the amazing places Sam and Steve went to eat at in Vegas last week and be sure to tune in on the next episode so that we can talk healthy eating. It’s not something we’re known for but after last week’s binge eating, it’s time to ease it up a bit.
