Can you believe we are about to solidify the first ever “The Sam Livecast Cooking Competition”? We can’t believe it either. It’ll be held at Fixtures Living here in San Diego, CA off of Dowdy St. (Miramar). Come join, watch, and cheer on your favorite cook. But wait a sec, we need to see who will move on. Will it be Teri from San Diego? Or Don all the way from Stockton, CA?
Joining us for the first time? We are the internet’s first and only live cooking show (that we know of) with your host Sam the Cooking Guy. Tonight we make an epic Oktoberfest night by doing Sam’s famous “One Pot Brats” and a tasty twist on the simple pierogi. It’s not about authenticity my friends, it’s simply about taste. And believe you me, these two recipes are freaking delicious.
For way too long we’ve done a hash with just the simple spud. If you want to step up your hash game with classy sweet potatos and delicious brats (in celebration of Oktoberfest of course), then make the substitution and go for it because you have no idea how good a runny, over-easy egg goes over sweet taters.
We’re back with the semis of The Sam Livecast Cooking Competition. To level the playing field we’ve instructed everyone in the final four to cook a chicken dish. Why? Because everything tastes like chicken and we’re hoping that they would show us their skills in turning the mundane into the extraordinary. No spoilers or anything but both were pretty amazing.
What would you top on a potato soup? Slowly caramelized red onions? Juicy roasted chicken? Green onions? Bacon?! If you’re the type of person who wants to please everyone you need to make this simple and delicious buffet style soup. Think baked potato but everyone gathers around a pot of rich soup rather than your typical spuds-in-foil affair. Don’t forget, it’s Oktoberfest!
